Default Aurora Glade Mission

I am having trouble with the mission. I can only seem to find one crystal, and have no idea as to where to find the others. I am new to this game and this is the only mission that I am having trouble with. Can someone help me?

With Aurora Glade you must run the Gems from where the first one spawns to the stands. In the first part the Gems are located by the ranger NPC that gives you the bonus. In the second part the Gems are located near the Druid that is just past the blockade. The Gems will alway spawn at the same place. Hope this helps.

all the crystals appear in the same place, plant one and another will appear there. I've found the best method (if not going for the bonus) is to send in the entire party less one with the first crystal while a runner remains back to grab the second. The majority of the group then carries on to confront the mantle, while the runner, takes the second and 3rd crystals to their spots.

I know how to get to the druid, but i'm not sure about the ranger. When i talked to the druid I know it gives me a crystal, but I don't know how to find the others. I looked at the map and when it comes to that, I just might as well dye my hair blonde....lol. I'm a girl and that just says it all. So what i have to do is take a party with me and not hencies in order to obtain all the crystals correct? But I will try and get some of my clan together and help me with this. Thnx for ur help.

And to think they doubted me when I first took on the mission and bonus at the same time... as an Assassin. But the laughter turned to joy as I sprinted back and forth with the crystals, switching them faster than the White Mantle could simply on the basis of being able to Dash.
Yep...
The team didn't mock me for playing an Assassin after that.

In theory you can do it with a single person but in practice that is not the easiest way.

When you take a crystal from the "dispenser" another will appear there after you use the first one, so just go back to that "dispenser" for another one.

If you do this with just heroes/henchies you'll probably have to attune one then defend it, killing the mantle runners and the rest of the enemies.

You can do the mission solo with heroes, by winning by attrition. You place the party marker at one of the larger crystals. The white mantle will try to get capture the crystal, with your heroes killing them off piecemeal, while you yourself keep recapturing the crystal. Only way I know of soloing it.

Heh... When I tried it Solo, Nightfall hadn't even come out yet and they hadn't implemented the flagging process. I admit.... I tried. Even at top speed I tried, but I was overwhelmed and beaten by their weight of numbers. Had to resort to teaming up with other human meatbags in the end... Ended up with them killing the guy for the bonus and keeping the White Mantle occupied while I did all the crystal running (and admittedly a little bit of Caltrop-throwing and carrier-assassinating if they got too close)

easy solo, attune close portal and left portal quickly. you flag your heroes and henches in front of the leftmost portal. Set them to aggro, and just keep a crystal handy to take it back should the mantle runner get through. when no more mantle runners are left you just unpin the henches and go kill the demagogue, then attune the last portal(s). done but for the spitters at the end.

Thats nice to know in case I go back there with any other characters (which I invariably will at some point)... but for now I've completed it, bonus and all. And I can still say for that mission alone it is probably better to team up with human meatbags.

Admittedly though, last time I tried it Solo I didn't have the same awesome builds I have now.... and I didn't have Olias and his delightfully powerful undead hoarde (I was SO lucky to find a Superior Rune of Death Magic at random out in the field... and the Major Rune of Soul Reaping doesn't go amiss either... NOR for that matter the Major Vigor rune... ^_^ ... nor his Death Magic staff... the list of awesome kit goes on...)

Hi,
For nice pictures of the various missions (but honestly don't do that often as it will take away quite a lot of the pleasure of discovering stuff in this game), look at:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/dos...me/914653.html

For finishing solo the mission, look at lennymon's answer, and don't forget to attune the closest portal and constantly move between the crystal-maker and the left-most portal (where you can slowly kill the bad guys one after the other between your different runs, remember that they only have 3 runners if I remember correctly, and some guys to protect them, go slowly so as to not be flooded with red close to your aggro circle)

Good luck!

Unless they changed this mission - you can complete the end part (without going for bonus) without fighting 1 enemy.

What you do is attune the closest portal the go attune the left portal (timed right the mantle should have just left here).. then run back and go attune the right portal - don't fight the mantle as you run post, as long as you have 1 attuned your fine. Once you have done this run back and attune the 1 the mantle have gotten back (most likely the closest one) and you should win the mission, but not the bonus.. if you delayed a bit you might need to also run and attune the left one again.. but that should be it.

If any person in your group has a running skill, let them do the attuning. However I've attuned all 3 portals without fighting any mantle with character's that had no running skills (Me/Mo, E/Mo, W/Mo w/o Sprint).

I got the mission done with just my henches, but i out smarted the mantle, instead of running to a different one, i went to the same one they did, killed them and then went and attuned the last one.

Just did this one again recently (getting a Paragon thru Tyria). Long speed bursts can help. I camped the heroes / hench at one of the portals. I ran the crystals. Ran a P/R for that mission. Fall Back and Storm chaser worked fine.
